Jaguar I-Pace wins Top Gear’s EV of the Year

The all-electric SUV has won multiple titles and has now collected the award from the British magazine.

After a very successful first few months on sale, the Jaguar I-Pace has won the EV of the Year in the Top Gear Magazine 2018 Awards.

The all-electric SUV comes with a range of 292 miles on a single charge and can accelerate from 0-60mph in just 4.5 seconds.

It has an electric motor mounted on each axle and produces a combined output of 395bhp and 696Nm of torque, while it comes with all-wheel drive and can be replenished from flat to 80 per cent full in 85 minutes.

Rawdon Glover, Jaguar Land Rover managing director, said: “As Jaguar’s first ever electric vehicle, the I-Pace was a completely blank canvas. Our engineers were tasked with creating an electric vehicle without compromise; it would be quick, stylish, luxurious, exhilarating to drive, fast to charge, spacious and easy to use every day.

“The result has even surpassed our ambitions, and I’m pleased to see I-Pace pick up another award from one of the most respected media outlets in the world.”
