American brand Jeep has released UK pricing and specification for the latest version of the Renegade, which starts from £19,200.
The compact SUV has been updated for model year 2019 and with that the Renegade comes with a new front end, a refreshed interior design and a higher level of safety equipment.
Jeep has introduced two new turbocharged petrol engines to the engine line-up, with the 1.0-litre coming with 118bhp and the 1.3-litre offered in two states of tune – 148bhp and 178bhp.
The two diesel engines previously available, the 1.6- and 2.0-litre Multijet II, have been updated to comply with the upcoming Euro 6d-TEMP emissions regulations, with three transmission options across the engine range – a six-speed manual, a dual dry clutch transmission and a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
Models are also available with either two- or four-wheel drive, with Jeep also offering the Renegade with Jeep Active Drive and Active Drive Low to support the car’s off-roading capabilities.

The Renegade comes with new head and fog lights that sit alongside the new front grille, with Jeep also offering seven alloy wheel options – ranging from 16- to 19-inch in size.
Available in four trim levels – Sport, Longitude, Limited and Trailhawk – the Renegade comes with a five-inch Uconnect touchscreen display from base spec, while higher spec options get an 8.4-inch screen.
Jeep has also improved the safety systems on offer, as lane sense departure warning and intelligent speed assist with traffic sign recognition now come as standard.
Prices for the MY19 Renegade start from £19,200, with deliveries beginning next month.
