Jürgen Klopp commits his future to Vauxhall

If you’re a football fan (or even if you’re not) then you likely know that Jürgen Klopp recently became manager of Liverpool Football Club.

Despite the big new job, however, there’s one responsibility Klopp already had prior to this appointment which he’s not giving up. That responsibility being driving a Vauxhall Insignia.

It has been confirmed that Jürgen Klopp will continue his role as Vauxhall/Opel Ambassador, a role also currently held by the musician Bryan Adams and the model Claudia Schiffer. Thanks to this role, Klopp’s latest choice of transportation has been the Vauxhall Insignia family car.

Conveniently for Klopp, Vauxhall has been the Official UK Car Partner for Liverpool Football Club since early 2014. The German manager will be sticking with driving a current Insignia, albeit swapping from a left-hand drive model to a right-hand drive version.

Since his arrival to the club, Vauxhall has also created a new collection of adverts which sign off with slogans like ‘Jürgen Klopp changes his club but not his company car’ and ‘You’ll never drive alone’. The latter slogan is a not-so-subtle reference to Liverpool FC’s anthem - You’ll Never Walk Alone.

The Chairman and Managing Director of Vauxhall Motors, Ron Harvey, commneted: “Klopp knows our business, he’s a car man and he most recently supported us at the Frankfurt Motor Show as we launched the all-new Brit built Astra.”
