Kia introduces new special edition Stonic and Picanto options

Bright colour combinations and high levels of standard equipment take the headlines for new Kia models.

Kia has started the new year by introducing special edition variants of its Stonic crossover and Picanto city car.

For the former, ‘Maxx’ is a new grade that brings an eye-catching colour combination. A clear white body is offset by a contrasting red roof with matching door mirrors. Its powered by a 118bhp 1.0-litre petrol engine, which can be paired to either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

Standard equipment on the Maxx includes 17-inch graphite alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, a faux black leather interior upholstery, LED combination lights and a reversing camera. Pricing kicks off at £19,055 for manual cars, while dual-clutch options are available from £20,055.

New to the Picanto range is ‘Zest’. This grade is made distinctive by the standard inclusion of its Lime Light metallic paint, and comes with a comprehensive list of extra goodies. These include 15-inch alloy wheels, grey faux leather upholstery, a reversing camera, LED daytime running lights and rear privacy glass.

Also thrown into the package is a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment display with DAB Radio and support for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Powering the Picanto Zest is a 1.0-litre petrol engine developing 66bhp, sent through a five-speed manual gearbox. Pricing for the special variant of the city car kicks off at £12,650.

Both new models are available to order now.
