Kia has started the new year by introducing special edition variants of its Stonic crossover and Picanto city car.
For the former, ‘Maxx’ is a new grade that brings an eye-catching colour combination. A clear white body is offset by a contrasting red roof with matching door mirrors. Its powered by a 118bhp 1.0-litre petrol engine, which can be paired to either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
Standard equipment on the Maxx includes 17-inch graphite alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, a faux black leather interior upholstery, LED combination lights and a reversing camera. Pricing kicks off at £19,055 for manual cars, while dual-clutch options are available from £20,055.

New to the Picanto range is ‘Zest’. This grade is made distinctive by the standard inclusion of its Lime Light metallic paint, and comes with a comprehensive list of extra goodies. These include 15-inch alloy wheels, grey faux leather upholstery, a reversing camera, LED daytime running lights and rear privacy glass.
Also thrown into the package is a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment display with DAB Radio and support for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Powering the Picanto Zest is a 1.0-litre petrol engine developing 66bhp, sent through a five-speed manual gearbox. Pricing for the special variant of the city car kicks off at £12,650.
