Land Rover decided to celebrate its 70thanniversary by parading 70 of its most recognisable and renowned vehicles up the famous Goodwood Hill Climb.

As well as being the largest convoy ever up the Sussex-based hill climb, it gave attendants at the 2018 Festival of Speed the chance to see some of the rarest and most intriguing Land Rover models.

The procession was led by a recreation of the first ‘Centre Steer’ prototype, alongside the first Series I pre-production prototype ‘HUE 166’ – the vehicle that started off the company’s lasting success.

Land Rover included various examples of how adaptable the Land Rover range has been, including a fire engine, police cars and expedition vehicles – with the group also including the first and millionth Discovery ever built.

Other vehicles in the parade included a vehicle from every generation of the Range Rover, Freelander and all classic models, with all the cars in the current line-up also used as part of the display.
