After 30 years on sale, Land Rover has unveiled a celebratory version of its large SUV.

30 years after going on sale for the first time, the Land Rover Discovery has received a new special edition to celebrate the anniversary.

Called the Landmark Edition, this version is based off the mid-spec SE model, with Land Rover adding the Dynamic Exterior Pack and Narvik Black detailing.

The new version also comes with fixed front and rear panoramic roofs, front fog lights and signature taillights alongside privacy glass and 20-inch gloss black alloy wheels.

Customers can choose from either Ebony or Acorn leather upholstery, which complement the brushed metal and aluminium trim. In addition, the Touch Pro infotainment system is paired to a 380W Meridian Sound System.

As with every other Discovery, the Landmark Edition comes with the full complement of off-roading assistance tech in the form of Terrain Response 2 and All Terrain Progress Control, while boasting a 900mm wading depth capability – plus a 3,500kg towing capacity.

Rawdon Glover, Jaguar Land Rover’s managing director, said: “The Discovery Landmark Edition is a compelling package. Taking our best-selling SD4 and SD6 Discovery SE models and adding key design features that resonate well with our customers, results in a genuine value proposition that befits a celebration special edition.”

Pricing for the Landmark Edition start from £57,350, with PCP contract options starting from £499 per month, and the car is now available to order.
