Lexus reveals refreshed RC for 2019

The coupe has been given design tweaks that are drawn from the LC sports car, with the model getting its introduction later this year.

Lexus has revealed the updated RC coupe, which will be getting its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in October.

The RC has been revamped both inside and out, with the exterior look moving more in line with the LC sports car that was revealed in 2016.

It has gained a new front bumper, air ducts on the rear end, LED head and taillights, while the F Sport version will feature a mesh grille to match the other models in the range with the same trim.

Inside, Lexus has given the RC a higher quality finish thanks to brushed metal heating and audio controls as well as raised knee pads either side of the central console to improve passenger space.

Customers will have five interior trim options to choose from, including aluminium and brushed metal for the RC F Sport model. Seven interior colour combinations are now also available, including ‘Ochre’ and ‘Mustard’.

Lexus has also enhanced the driving feel of the RC by improving the aerodynamics and suspension setup for a more stable ride with sharper handling. New 19-inch alloy wheels have also been added.

Full UK specifications will be announced closer to the RC’s market release, which is expected to be late in 2018.
