Mercedes-Benz has taken the covers off its latest Maybach luxury creation – the Mercedes-Benz Maybach GLS.
The premium model will be fitted with a 558bhp 4.0-litre V8 engine with a 48V electrical assistance setup, which adds an additional 22bhp to the setup.
That means the luxury machine will be able to get from 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds and reach a limited top speed of 155mph.
But this model isn’t about performance – it’s about how exquisite it is inside and out.
Maybach is known as one of the most high-end car brands around alongside Rolls-Royce and Bentley – and this version of the GLS is a true statement of luxury.
Available with both 22- and 23-inch wheels, the Maybach GLS features chrome detailing across most the body, as well as a larger front grille and Maybach designation.
Air suspension is fitted for a cushioned ride and it lowers when people open the doors to make it easier to get in. Optional fully-active suspension can make the car even more composed too.
Inside, the GLS features only just rows of seats to optimise passenger space, with the outer rear seats available as recliners for even more comfort. All the seating is finished in nappa leather and a panoramic sliding sunroof with roller blind is also included.
The GLS also comes with all the top kit you’d expect from a any Mercedes-Benz, such as large infotainment screens, air conditioning and multiple driver assists.
Prices are yet to be confirmed, but expect it to be worth in excess of £180,000. Deliveries will begin in the second quarter of 2020.
