Man Builds Replica Lamborghini Out of Used Car Parts

A man has accomplished his dream of owning a Lamborghini by building one himself from used car parts in his garage.

Driton Selmani, who lives in the town of Gjilan in Eastern Kosovo, had always dreamed of owning a Lamborghini but could not afford one.

A Frankenstein-esque creation

Selmani boxed clever and pulled together used car parts to create his own Lamborghini replica, specifically, a replica of the Lamborghini Reventon.

With a talent for welding, Selmani took it upon himself to create a Frankenstein-esque Lambo, drawing on parts from the Mitsubishi Eclipse and Mitsubishi Galant, including a 3.0-litre V6 engine.

The result is pretty stunning. It may not be a real Lamborghini, but you’d certainly be fooled if it whizzed past you in the street. Not only does Selmani’s faux Lambo have a similar body shape to a Reventon, but he has done an excellent job in recreating Lamborghini’s trademark angular body work, with triangular body panels plastered all over it.

To add a dash of personalisation, Selmani has also garnished his white Reventon with a red racing stripe, which represents the national flag of Albania.

He saved himself £1.3 million

The Lamborghini Reventon was famously the most expensive Lambo when it was revealed back in 2007, costing $2,000,000, or around £1,602,968 by today’s currency exchange. Selamani managed to create his replica for just 23 lakhs – or 2.3 million rupees – which is equivalent to around $334,716, or £268,320.
