Meet Aston Martin’s stunning new Vanquish S convertible

Aston Martin has revealed a soft-top Volante convertible version of its Vanquish S. The Vanquish S is a performance-enhanced grand tourer based on the regular Vanquish, but up until now it was only shown in coupe form back in November.

But now the Volante bodystyle has been added to the Vanquish S line-up and newly released images showing off the car in an eye-catching dark blue paint job confirms its existence.

Featuring the same styling changes as its coupe counterpart, the Vanquish S Volante comes with a readjusted aerodynamic package featuring an exposed carbon-fibre splitter and diffuser plus quad exhausts.

Other changes include tuned suspension for a sharper and more aggressive driving experience when selecting sportier driving modes, or a more supple experience when choosing a comfort-focused driving mode.

The Vanquish S Volante uses the same engine as the regular Vanquish, meaning it has a naturally aspirated 6.0-litre petrol V12. For the S model, the Vanquish benefits from a faster throttle response, provided thanks to a freer-breathing intake system. The eight-speed automatic gearbox is also revised to offer faster gear changes and better low-speed refinement.

Expect pricing for the Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante to start at just over £200,000 when it goes on sale later this year.
