Meet the new Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer

The estate version of the new Vauxhall Insignia has been revealed ahead of its first public appearance at next month’s Geneva Motor Show. It is expected to launch during this summer, around the same time as the Insignia Grand Sport hatchback.

Compared to the previous Sports Tourer, the new Insignia estate is much lighter, up to 200kg in fact. It also offers 110 litres extra of boot space when the rear seats are down. The length of the boot storage itself has grown to over two metres. The boot also has a lower loading lip and an electric tailgate with foot gesture opening is also available.

The new Insignia Sports Tourer has a longer wheelbase by 92mm, significantly boosting rear passenger space.

Like with the new Insignia Grand Sport, the new Sport Tourer also comes available with an all-wheel drive powertrain with torque vectoring plus a new eight-speed automatic gearbox. Front-wheel drive powertrains and a six-speed manual gearbox is also available.

Inside, the Sports Tourer comes with wireless phone charging and Vauxhall’s latest IntelliLink system with a touchscreen and it supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Pricing for the new Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer is likely to start from just over £21,000.
