Mercedes-AMG has unveiled the CLA 35.
Much like the A 35 that it is closely related to, the AMG CLA comes with a 2.0-litre, turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and 4Matic all-wheel drive.
With the engine developing 302bhp and 400Nm of torque, the CLA 35 can get from 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds and reach a limited top speed of 155mph.
Mercedes has also given the model improved underpinnings, such as AMG Ride Control suspension, adaptive damping, AMG Dynamics driving modes, a high-performance braking system and AMG exhaust setup with sound modulation.
On the outside, sharper lines have been used on the bonnet and along the side panels, while a lip spoiler, twin tailpipes and new front and rear diffusers have also been fitted. Customers can choose from 18- and 19-inch alloy wheel designs.
Inside, drivers get to experience the Widescreen Cockpit setup that pairs two 10.25-inch displays into a single panel and uses the MBUX infotainment system with voice-activated assistant. Users can alter the digital instrument display through three separate modes, with the multifunctional AMG steering wheel also fitted.

Although prices are yet to confirmed, the CLA 35 is expected to start around the £40,000 mark – with sale dates and full specifications to be announced in due course.
