Mercedes has expanded the range of its popular A-Class hatchback with the introduction of a new high-spec ‘Exclusive Edition’ model.
The range-topping trim is based on the AMG Line Executive grade, but isn’t badged as an ‘AMG Line’ and comes with a high level of standard kit – including a 10.25-inch touchscreen and the firm’s acclaimed MBUX infotainment system with a ‘Hey Mercedes’ voice recognition system.
On top of the AMG Line Executive grade, it comes with the ‘Night Package’, which adds privacy glass, a black grille, and leather and Alcantara upholstery. It also gains 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof and 64-colour ambient lighting.
Prices for the Exclusive Edition start from £31,305, and it’s available with either an A200 petrol engine or A200d diesel.
Mercedes is also offering a ‘Plus’ specification, which brings matte grey paintwork, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and keyless go. Elsewhere it comes with electric front seats with memory function, a more advanced sound system and a clever augmented reality satellite navigation system.
The Exclusive Edition Plus grade is available with the more powerful A220d diesel and A250 petrol models, with prices starting from £37,230.
The new A-Class models are on sale now, with first deliveries expected next month.
