MG brand offers 100 ZS EVs to services help with coronavirus pandemic

The electric cars will be distributed to key workers, charities and support workers

MG is stepping up to help keep essential motorists on the move during the current lockdown by providing 100 of its ZS EVs to support them.

During the first lockdown the brand supported the NHS with many of its electric crossovers, and now it’s doing the same – this time helping key workers, charities and support workers to keep on the move.

The 100 cars will be offered to MG dealers, who can identify the people or charities they want to help with the loan of the car, which will be delivered from the end of this. The scheme is aimed at supporting those that are doing their bit for the community during the coronavirus pandemic.

MG Motor’s sales director, Guy Pigounakis, said: “Our dealers achieved some terrific things within their local communities in 2020 and were delighted to help support the NHS and its partners through times of crisis.

“This time, we’re extending the initiative to allow our network the opportunity to support other essential causes in their communities that might be struggling with transport, such as food banks, healthcare transport schemes and local charities that provide vital services within the community.”

The ZS EV is one of the most popular electric cars around, with an affordable starting price, roomy interior and 163-mile electric range making it a very appealing option.

There’s also the option of the MG5 – currently the only electric estate car you can buy, boasting an impressive 214-mile electric range, and is one of the most affordable EVs around, with prices starting from just £24,495.
