MG to deliver 100 electric ZS EVs to help the NHS during Covid-19 pandemic

The electric crossovers will be given to NHS services across the UK for free.

MG has announced that it has started giving NHS agencies across the UK versions of its ZS EV to help our health service tackle one of the biggest challenges it’s ever faced.

The firm has said that its dealer network will be supplying up to 100 versions of its new electric ZS EV crossover, which is able to travel for up to 163 miles on a single charge. The models will be supplied for up to six months free of charge to help essential workers travel around by providing additional transport capacity during this pandemic.

The first six models have already been delivered by Chorley Group to Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS trust.

Daniel Gregorious, head of sales and marketing at MG Motor UK, said: “As a proud British brand, MG is more than just a car manufacturer. Together with our dealer network, we want to do our bit to help the country to come through this uncertain time.

“By providing 100 electric cars to our NHS heroes, we hope that we will help to keep healthcare moving so that as many people as possible can receive the support they need. It’s also our way of saying thank you to those selfless people who work so hard to keep us all safe.”

The pure-electric ZS EV is one of the most affordable electric cars on sale, with models starting from £22,495. It’s no less spacious than the petrol ZS it’s based on, while a seven-year warranty also provides additional peace of mind.
