Minor facelift unveiled for the 2017 BMW M3

The 2017 BMW M3 has received a minor facelift, with a redesigned front end and a new LED headlight signature. Find out more here.

BMW’s flagship super-saloon has been given a minor nip and tuck for the new year, but you’d be hard pressed to tell the difference between it and the last version.

Pictures quietly updated on BMW’s site reveal that for 2017 the M3 will receive a slightly redesigned face, inheriting the same front end and LED lights recently introduced to its sister M4 coupe.

Aside from that the M3 is virtually untouched, with the same twin-turbo straight-six engine, which pumps out 425bhp and which comes with the option of either a manual or a dual-clutch gearbox.

The M3 can hit 0-62mph in just 4.1 seconds before heading all the way on to an electronically-limited 155mph, though even more power and speed can be unlocked via the optional M Performance pack.

BMW’s new LED light signature was first introduced on the new 5 Series, before trickling down the range to the newly-facelifted 4 Series range, and it’s expected the 3 Series will soon follow suit.

The new 4 Series and M4 are due to go on sale in March this year, so you can expect the ever-so-slightly tweaked M3 to arrive in dealerships around the same time.
