Jaguar has revealed its striking new 2020 F-Type sports car.
A fresh face is brought to the British machine, now featuring a sleeker bonnet which dips into thin and impactful headlights sitting at either side of a newly-designed bumper.
New, slimmer lights have been brought in at the rear of the car too, with these units said to create an ‘unmistakable LED chicane signature’ inspired by the I-Pace.
Inside the car, materials like Windsor Leather and satin-finish Noble Chrome aim to bring a more luxurious feel to the F-Type, while a new 12.3-inch fully-configurable Interactive Driver Display replaces traditional dials and gauges in front of the driver with a cutting-edge digital screen.
This screen can be displayed in multiple modes, including a full map mode for effortless use of the car’s satellite navigation. In its default setting, a large central rev counter is displayed to hint at the driver-focused nature of the F-Type. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are offered on the car as well, along with a premium Meridian audio system.
Jaguar has overhauled the engine line-up too. Gone is a V6 engine option, with a four-cylinder and two V8s now making up the choices, and all are paired up with automatic gearboxes.
The entry-level 296bhp four-cylinder option remains available exclusively in rear-driven configuration, while a new supercharged 444bhp, 5.0-litre V8 is offered and can be had in RWD or AWD.

The R also benefits from a number of chassis enhancements, including new springs, dampers and anti-roll bars. It remains to be seen if a new SVR will be introduced to the line-up.
Order books are now open for the 2020 Jaguar F-Type, with prices starting from £54,060. No word yet on when deliveries will begin, however.
