New Audi RS3 prices and specifications announced

Sporty compact models are now available to order

Audi has announced full pricing and specifications for its new RS3 Sportback and Saloon, which will be available from £50,900.

Retaining its predecessor’s superb 2.5-litre five-cylinder petrol engine, the RS3 produces 395bhp and 500Nm of torque, allowing for a 0-60mph time of just 3.6 seconds, which is the benchmark in this class. It also has a top speed of 155mph, though this can be raised to 180mph with an optional dynamic package.

The new RS3 gets more muscular styling than the car it replaces, along with new performance features that aim to offer greater agility, Highlights include a new ‘RS Torque Rear’ drift mode that’s enabled by a new torque splitter and a redesigned suspension setup that aims to offer greater responsiveness.

Available as both a Sportback (five-door hatchback) and Saloon, you’ll pay £1,000 more for the latter four-door model across the range.

Prices start from £50,900 for the RS3, which includes heated leather sports seats, dual-zone climate control, 19-inch alloy wheels, a 10.1-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital dial system.

The Carbon Black version is up next, and is available from £55,550. This adds darkened Matrix LED headlights, matte black 19-inch alloy wheels and a carbon finish for the door mirrors, engine cover, spoiler and side skirts.

Audi is also offering a Launch Edition model, which is limited to just 96 cars in the UK. Priced from £56,900, this version comes brimmed with equipment including a panoramic roof, sports exhaust and head-up display. You also get a driver assistance pack and adaptive suspension included.

At the top of the range, the Vorsprung costs from £58,650, gaining features like an electric boot and 360-degree camera system.

The new Audi RS3 is now available to order, with first deliveries expected in November.
