The new Bentley Bentayga SUV has been given a luxury update courtesy of the brand's in-house Mulliner custom shop.
Called the Bentayga Mulliner and billed as the ultimate luxury SUV, the car will debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week before being put into production in strictly-limited numbers.
The first car unveiled is an exclusive one-off designed to show off the breadth of Mulliner’s abilities, with a special two-tone paintjob, 22-inch alloy wheels with floating wheel centres and unique badging.
It’s the inside which gets the real special treatment though, with the hand-stitched leather seats upholstered in the same contrasting colours as the exterior and finish with bespoke embroidery.
Unique to the Bentayga Mulliner and befitting its ‘ultimate luxury’ moniker is options like a chilling cabinet in the rear of the cabin, complete with a bottle cooler and custom Cumbria Crystal champagne flutes.
Customers can also specify their cars with an optional hamper, complete with a mini fridge, bespoke Linley china cutlery, crockery and crystal glasses.
The exclusive Tourbillon by Breitling clock, which made headlines upon the Bentayga’s release for costing almost as much as the car itself, also makes a return in the Mulliner version.
The interior is finished in high-quality walnut veneer exclusive to the model, along with illuminated Mulliner tread plates and mood lighting with 15 different selectable colours.
It’s not just the car’s appearance which gets updated either, as the Mulliner tweaks include the Bentley Dynamic Ride system, which actively readjusts the suspension to counter body roll and improve handling on the move.
Power comes from the same 6.0-litre W12 engine that remains untouched over the regular Bentayga, but with 600bhp on tap and the title of ‘world’s fastest SUV’, it hardly needs any extra go.
Prices for the Bentley Bentayga Mulliner have yet to be released, but you can expect it to command a sizeable premium over the £160,200 Bentayga when it goes on sale this spring.
