New Jaguar XF prices announced

Pricing details for the new Jaguar XF saloon announced at the New York Auto Show.

Jaguar has announced pricing details for its new second-generation XF saloon as part of its official world debut appearance at the New York International Auto Show.

The new entry-level Jaguar XF 2.0-litre diesel will start from £32,300, rising to £49,950 for the flagship 3.0-litre V6.

Available with three different powertrains, the new XF combines performance with frugality. Although it is the entry-level option, the 161bhp 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel model, mated to either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission, is actually the most efficient engine in the range. It emits just 104g/km of CO2 and claiming to return an average of 71.7mpg. This engine will likely be popular with business customers, due to the low taxation rate.

The mid-range 296bhp 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo diesel and the 378bhp 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol carry the same range-topping £49,950 price tag, with emissions of 144g/km and 198g/km respectively. Both these derivatives are only available with the eight-speed automatic transmission and in the most luxurious trim level, simply called S.

Aside to the S trim level, Prestige (from £32,300), R-Sport (£34,200) and Portfolio (£36,400) trims will also be available with the 2.0-litre diesel. The interior of the XF now offers a more luxurious feel, with the XJ’s ‘Riva Hoop’ instrument panel design being carried across. There is also Jaguar’s sophisticated 10.2-inch InControl Touch Pro infotainment system – which offers a dual view feature, allowing a DVD and sat-nav display to be viewed at the same time.

Jaguar’s second-generation XF saloon is available to order now and first deliveries will start this autumn.
