New Mazda2 Sport Black edition unveiled

Mazda has unveiled a new special edition version of its new Mazda2 supermini, the Mazda2 Sport Black.

On sale from the start of next month, the Sport Black edition is based on the popular SE-L Nav trim and priced from £15,395, offering extra sporty styling upgrades and more equipment.

Peter Allibon, Mazda UK sales director, said: “With extra standard equipment, plus striking styling enhancements the all-new Mazda2 Sport Black is sure to be a very popular addition.

“And thanks to the attractive finance deals available across the range, even more customers can enjoy the refinement, comfort, first-class connectivity and quality of the all-new Mazda2.”

Subtle enhancements over the standard model include black front and side skirts, a black roof spoiler and a choice of either Soul Red Metallic or Snowflake White finishes free of charge.

Cruise control, DAB digital radio and sat-nav are all carried over from the standard SE-L Nav model, while the Sport Black adds larger 16-inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors and automatic lights.

Buyers can further customise their car with the addition of optional exterior graphic designs and contrasting door mirror covers to add more personalisation options to the Mazda2.

Power comes courtesy of a 1.5-litre 89bhp petrol engine, which can take the Mazda2 from 0-62mph in 9.4 seconds, with fuel economy of up to 62.8mpg and CO2 emissions of just 105g/km.
