New Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe revealed

After revealing the updated GLC last month, Mercedes has taken the covers off the sleeker version that comes with fresh styling.

Mercedes-Benz has taken the covers off the new GLC Coupe.

Taking styling cues from the recently updated GLC, the Coupe version comes with a single bar across the grille and new signature LED running lights, as well as increased chrome detailing – with the rear end design mostly unchanged.

Inside, Mercedes-Benz has fitted the MBUX infotainment setup for the digital instrument display and central infotainment touchscreen that comes in three sizes – with a central touchpad also fitted to use the screens.

Mercedes-Benz says there are five ways to control the central screen, including using the screen itself, the central touchpad, controls on the steering wheel, optional gesture controls and through the ‘Hey Mercedes’ voice control system.

From launch, the Coupe will be available with three engines for the UK market – one petrol and two diesels – that all comply with the next set of emissions regulations. The 300 4Matic petrol is teamed with the EQ Boost 48V electrical system to provide a small power boost as well as enhanced fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.

High-end safety assistance systems are also available with the GLC Coupe, such as exit-warning function, emergency corridor and tail-end-of-traffic functions and the newly introduced trailer maneuvering assist system.
