Nissan Micra adds new gadget-packed trim

The Nissan Micra range has expanded with the launch of a new equipment-laden trim level called N-TEC.

In the small car’s line-up the N-TEC is positioned in-between the Acenta and range-topping Tekna trim. Available to order now, the Nissan Micra N-TEC is priced from £12,400.

Styling highlights of the new N-TEC includes 16-inch alloy wheels, silver satin door mirrors and door handles and rear privacy glass.

Inside, meanwhile, there’s a 5.8-inch colour touchscreen display as standard. It supports sat-nav and smartphone integration and can even utilise Google’s Send-To-Car technology – which lets you plan a route on a PC or tablet and send it to your car before leaving the house.

The Micra N-TEC also comes as standard with rear parking sensors and Parking Slot Measurement. The latter gadget can measure nearby parking slots and alert the drive via a dashboard display as to whether the Micra can be safely parked in that place or not.

This gadget even has three settings to account for the driver’s parking skill – amateur, normal or expert.

Other standard kit for this Micra includes automatic climate control, automatic headlights and rain-sensing windscreen wipers.

The N-TEC is available with the same two 1.2-litre petrol engines as other existing versions of the Micra, including the 79bhp version and the supercharged DIG-S unit with 97bhp.

Nissan will present the Micra N-TEC to the public for the first time at next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
