Nissan Micra Bose Personal Edition targets music lovers

Nissan is launching a special edition Micra to celebrate its partnership with Bose, meaning a 360-degree sound system is the main feature.

Nissan has teamed up with audio equipment specialists Bose to create a special edition version of the latest Micra supermini. It’s called the Bose Personal Edition and it will be launched this summer with 3,000 examples to be sold in Europe.

Based on the new Micra’s range-topping Tekna trim, the Bose Personal Edition unsurprisingly adds an exclusive audio system comprising of six high-performance speakers.

With twin speakers situated in the driver’s headrest, Nissan says the new system offers a ‘360-degree listening experience’ for those behind the wheel. Sound adjustments can be made to suit the driver’s tastes via the BOSE PersonalSpace Control feature built into the Micra’s audio settings.

The Micra Bose Personal Edition is finished in one of just two exterior colours, Engima Black or Gunmetal Grey, and both come with Energy Orange elements from the Micra’s personalisation program. Orange detailing is added to the front and rear bumper, doors, door mirrors and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Since it’s based on the Tekna trim, this special edition Micra also comes as standard with DAB digital radio, sat-nav and keyless start. The Safety Pack is also added as standard, meaning the Nissan also has sensor-based Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Recognition, Traffic Sign Recognition and High Beam Assist.

Engines available for this special edition Micra include a 0.9-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. Both are turbocharged and deliver 89bhp.

Pricing for the MIcra Bose Personal Edition will be confirmed closer to the car’s release date.
