Nissan Note Black Edition: Rad new ride for rebel grandmas

The Nissan Note has been given a sporty new makeover in the form of the new Note Black Edition.

Nissan has given its Note mini MPV a sporty hot hatch-inspired makeover, in the form of the new Black Edition.

The Black Edition version of the pensioners’ favourite Nissan features sportier front and rear bumpers, plus larger side skirts and a black bezel surround for the headlights.

Two striking body colours are available, with a choice of pearlescent Storm White for a contrasting look or metallic Pearl Black if you really want to show off your goth credentials.

As well as that, it also gets 16-inch alloy wheels, door handles and mirror covers all finished in – you guessed it – black, along with a large black spoiler at the rear for a real hot hatch aesthetic.

The Black Edition also gets a gloss black finish for the centre console, as well as a black gear shift knob and various other black touches for a stand-out look, plus optional electric rear windows.

Due to the fact that it’s based on the mid-spec Acenta trim, you also get air conditioning and a multi-function leather steering wheel as standard, plus Bluetooth connectivity for your smartphone.

Buyers can further personalise their Note with the addition of the Auto Pack, which adds automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, plus automatic headlights and front fog lights.

Powertrain options consist of a choice of the Note’s 89bhp 1.5-litre diesel engine with a manual gearbox, or the 79bhp 1.2-litre petrol also with a manual gearbox.
