Peugeot has named prices for its new 308 SW estate, which gets a bold new look and electrified powertrains for the first time.
Following on from the recently-announced 308 hatchback, the SW offers greater practicality to those wanting more interior and boot space, while still retaining the same sharp styling that truly makes this Peugeot stand out in its class.
Buyers will also have the choice of two plug-in hybrid models, which pair a 1.6-litre petrol engine with an electric motor and 12.4kWh battery. Power outputs of 178bhp and 222bhp will be available to customers, with Peugeot claiming an electric range of up to 39 miles, along with CO2 emissions of just 25g/km that place it in a benefit-in-kind bracket of 11 per cent for company car drivers.
A turbocharged 128bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine, along with a 128bhp 1.5-litre diesel option. All powertrain options will also come with an eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
Prices for the 308 SW start from £25,200 for an Active Premium model – £1,200 more than the hatchback – with standard equipment including 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights and a 10-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Upgrading to the Allure brings larger 17-inch alloys, along with a reversing camera and a 3D satellite navigation system, with these models priced from £26,600. Allure Premium then adds a ‘Drive Assist Pack’, which brings adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert, along with wireless smartphone charging. These are priced from £27,950.
Next up is the GT, which gains 18-inch alloy wheels, as well as a sportier exterior design and bi-tone roof rails. Full Matrix LED headlights are also included, along with a leather and Alcantara interior for the £29,850 starting price.
Up at the top of the range, the GT Premium brings luxuries like a 360-degree camera system, electric boot and heated and massaging front seats. These models are available from £31,450.
The new Peugeot 308 SW is available to reserve now, with first examples set to reach showrooms in early 2022.
