Peugeot electrified range: Here’s what’s available

Peugeot has significantly ramped up its electrified options in recent years

Peugeot has truly transformed as a car brand in recent years, no longer producing run-of-the-mill models, but far more stylish and premium cars than ever before.

With a diverse range of models already on sale, Peugeot is now looking to electrify its range as it offers either a hybrid or electric version of every model in its range – something which, in truth, it really isn’t far off achieving.

But what electric and hybrid models are available? Let’s take a look.

Electric

e-208 – from £27,225

The smallest electric Peugeot on offer, the e-208 combines all the style and quality of the regular 208, but brings a swift electric powertrain into the mix, which is capable of a range of 217 miles.

e-2008 – from £30,730

If you love the look of the e-208, but just reckon it’s a bit too small for your needs, you should take a look at the e-2008 crossover, which adds greater practicality into the mix. It shares the same powertrain with its smaller sibling, combining a 134bhp electric motor with a 50kWh battery, which in this case allows for a range of 206 miles.

e-Rifter – from £26,725

Peugeot’s latest electric model is the e-Rifter, a battery-powered version of the firm’s van-based Rifter MPV. It’s also the most affordable electrified Peugeots on offer, with prices starting from under £27,000 once the plug-in car grant has been deducted. With seating for seven and an electric range of 171 miles, it’s an ideal option for those looking for a roomy electric car.

e-Traveller – from £49,065

The largest of all of Peugeot’s electrified range, the e-Traveller brings electric power to Peugeot’s giant MPV, which offers vast amounts of interior space and eight seats. Here, it boasts an electric range of 148 miles, though like all Peugeot EVs on this list, it can be charged at up to 100kW, which means charging the battery from 0 to 80 per cent capacity takes just 30 minutes.

Hybrid

3008 Hybrid – from £37,310

Moving on to Peugeot’s hybrid range, the 3008 is the first of the French marque’s models to be offered as a PHEV. You can either choose it with 222bhp or 296bhp – the latter getting an extra electric motor on the rear axle that allows it to be four-wheel-drive. The firm says it can travel for up to 40 miles on electricity.

508 Hybrid – from £36,010

The latest Peugeot 508 has seriously helped Peugeot to move upmarket, and buyers can also now get it as a plug-in hybrid – bringing low running costs and a punchy powertrain to this executive model.

508 SW Hybrid – from £37,760

If you want something a bit more practical than the standard 508, though, you can choose the SW estate model, which offers an impressive blend of sleek styling and spaciousness. Like the regular fastback version, Peugeot claims it can travel up to 39 miles in electric mode.

508 Sport Engineered – from £55,795

Peugeot has been using its hybrid technology in motorsport for some time, and now it’s applying the same logic to road cars, with its new Performance Engineered line being a perfect combination of low running costs and performanceThe first model is the 508, which boasts 355bhp thanks to its petrol-electric setup and can sprint to 60mph in just five seconds. Like the regular 508, it’s offered as a fastback and an estate, too.
