Polestar will be displaying its first production model, the 1, for the first time in North America at the Pebble Beach Car Week in August.
The Volvo subsidiary sports car brand will show off the upcoming model in its own pavilion during the famous event, which takes place from August 23 to 26.
The 1 will also be part of The Quali, A Motorsport Gatheringthat will see some of the world’s rarest cars and sports concepts in the same place at Quali Lodge & Golf Club on August 24.
Thomas Ingenlath, Polestar chief executive officer, said: “It’s great to bring Polestar to America. North America is a major market for our new brand and we have received great feedback and high interest in the Polestar 1 from our American customers.

“So far, nearly 200 customers have placed deposits in the United States alone – the largest number of any country. Now it’s their turn to see the car in person and in a beautiful environment.”
The Polestar 1 is based on the Volvo scalable platform architecture and comes with a petrol-hybrid powertrain producing 592bhp and 1000Nm of torque. Polestar says that the 1 will be capable of 93 miles of all-electric driving.
