Porsche introduces GTS to Panamera range

The upgrade adds a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 454bhp, as well as exterior tweaks and additional performance kit.

Porsche has unveiled the Panamera GTS range, which offers a performance upgrade to the standard and Sport Turismo models.

The standard version of the Panamera first received the GTS treatment back in 2011, with the Sport Turismo getting the upgrade for the first time here.

Both models gain a 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine that develops 454bhp and 620Nm of torque – with the engine paired to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Porsche’s traction management all-wheel drive system.

With that powertrain, both GTS models can get from 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds and go on to a top speed of 181mph in regular guise and 179mph for the Sport Turismo.

For additional comfort, Porsche fits adaptive air suspension, while the ride height has been dropped by 10mm for improved cornering performance. Larger brakes have also been introduced to increase stopping power.

Black trim has been added to the front and rear splitters to further distinguish the GTS from the standard model, as well as 20-inch alloy wheels.

To contrast the Alcantara upholstery and aluminium trim, customers can choose the GTS package that adds customisable elements, such as the rev counter, trim detailing and GTS logos, which come in either Carmine Red or Crayon.

The GTS also comes with a head-up display – a first for the Panamera.

With customers able to order the models now, prices start from £105,963.
