Seat’s new performance sub-brand Cupra has announced pricing and specifications for its first car, the Cupra Ateca.
The Cupra Ateca will start from £35,900, for a car with a high level of standard spec, metallic paint, and Cupra Care service and maintenance included.
Cupra’s performance SUV is said to have the highest performance of any car in its segment, outside of the premium brands. Its 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine delivers 296bhp and 400NM of torque. It can reach a top speed of 153mph and get from 0-60mph in a quick 5.2 seconds.
This version of the Ateca features all the terrain modes you’ll find on an SUV, with a Cupra mode for a sportier driving experience – allowing customers to make use of the powerful turbocharged engine.

Furthermore, the Cupra Ateca can be ordered with a generous amount of kit, including a Comfort and Sound Pack featuring a BeatsAudio sound system, and a Design Pack that comes with 20-inch alloy wheels and Brembo brakes.
Keyless entry and start system, wireless charger, 8-inch touchscreen navigation plus, dynamic chassis control and park assist all come as standard.
