Fancy ordering yourself a BMW i8 Roadster this summer? Well, good news, as the firm has just confirmed UK pricing.
The sports car will retail from £124,730 when it hits showrooms, and order books are now open.
Although the i8 has been in production for quite some time now — since 2014, even —this is the first time the hybrid machine has been offered in convertible form.
The fabric roof can fold away in 15 seconds at the touch of a button, making it ideal for those spontaneous roof-down moments. However, the addition of a canvas roof means BMW has had to strengthen the car’s chassis — resulting in a 60kg weight increase over the coupe.
It also benefits from the latest updates to the model, meaning an increased range of 33 miles on battery power alone. When combined with the 1.5-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine, the entire powertrain delivers 369bhp and 569Nm of torque.
