Pricing revealed for electrified DS models

E-Tense versions of DS 3 Crossback and DS 7 Crossback will become firm’s first attempt at cracking the electric market.

DS has revealed pricing for two upcoming electrified models.

First up, the DS 3 Crossback E-Tense is the first EV from the firm and will be priced from £30,350 after the government’s £3,500 electric car grant. Offered in three trim levels — Performance, Prestige and Ultra Prestige — it features a 134bhp electric motor and promises 200 miles of range, while also being capable of a 0-80 per cent charge in 30 minutes.

Launching toward the end of 2019, it’ll join the DS 3 Crossback’s existing range of petrol and diesel options.

Following that is the DS 7 Crossback E-Tense. Unlike the DS 3, this model is a plug-in hybrid pairing a 1.6-litre petrol engine with an electric motor, producing a combined output of 296bhp and 450Nm — making it the firm’s most powerful production car to date.
