Renault releases name for upcoming crossover

To be revealed at the Moscow International Motor Show next week, the Arkana will slot into the market’s C-segment.

Called the Arkana, the crossover will fit into the brand’s global fleet and in terms of size sits in-between the Captur and Kadjar.

The name for the new model is derived from the Latin word ‘Arcanum’, meaning ‘secret’ and Renault says the word has been “used for centuries to mark events and phenomena of special significance.”

The French brand says that the Arkana “is ready to break the mould of the SUV market thanks to its unique design,” and it is likely to include new design elements that will be used on future models.
