Renault recently launched their scrappage scheme offering savings of up to £2,000 off a selection of new Renault models when trading in your old car. The Renault Scrappage Scheme 2017 is available to drivers who are looking to trade in old petrol or diesel models registered before the 31st of December 2009 which meet Euro 4 standards or earlier.

What is the Renault Scrappage Scheme?

The Renault Scrappage Scheme offers potential savings of up to £2,000 off a selection of new Euro 6 rated petrol or diesel Renault cars, when you trade in your old vehicle.

New models available as part of the scrappage scheme include the new Clio, Captur,  Mégane, Scénic, Grand Scénic and KADJAR.

You could be eligible for the Renault Scrappage Scheme if:

  • Your vehicle was registered on or before the 31st December 2009 and you have owned it for 90 days or more.
  • Your new vehicle is ordered by 31 December 2017 and registered by 31st January 2018.*

The Renault Scrappage Deal is available to private retail customers at participating dealers only, when you trade in any Euro 4 vehicle (or lower) which was registered by 31st December 2009.

Also It is worth noting Your current car doesn’t have to be a Renault, but the scrappage incentive is not available in conjunction with any other offers.

What cars can you trade in?

In order to be eligible for the Renault Scrappage Scheme the vehicle you are trading in must be:

  • Registered by the 31st of December 2009.
  • Owned by you for at least 90 months.
  • Euro 4 rated or lower.

When does the Renault Scrappage Scheme end?

Renault’s scrappage ended in September 2017 and you must have ordered your new car before the 30th September 2017 and registered it by 31st of December 2017 to qualify.

It is however looking increasingly likely that the Renault Scrappage Scheme will be extended beyond this date, depending on how popular it proves to be.

Please see details below regarding the terms and conditions of the 2017 Renault Scrappage Scheme:

  • *Scrappage offer available to private retail Renault Finance customers at participating dealers only, when you trade in any Euro 4 vehicle registered by 31st December 2009.
  • Trade in vehicle must be registered to the customer for at least 90 days before new purchase date.
  • Vehicles part exchanged under this scheme will be permanently destroyed.
  • Total allowance for scrappage offer is based on existing deposit contribution of 4.9% APR representative offer over 48 months and additional scrappage allowance of £2,000 (excluding Twingo, ZOE, Captur Ph1, All-New Koleos and Clio R.S.) when ordered by 31 December 2017 and registered by 31 January 2018.
