Renault has given the Kadjar a mid-generation update, with a new petrol unit being added.
The French manufacturer has also added a new automatic transmission for the mid-level diesel engine, which helps lower emissions and improve efficiency on the Kadjar’s most popular diesel unit.
The new TCe 165 petrol unit is a turbocharged 1.7-litre engine that produces 162bhp and is the most powerful in the line-up. It has a 127mph top speed and a 0-60mph time of 9.2 seconds with it being paired to a six-speed manual gearbox.
The TCe 165 offers similar economy and emission figures to the TCe 130 unit, with 134g/km CO2 emission levels and economy as good as 47mpg. It is available on Dynamique Nav models and upwards, with prices starting from £22,915.
For the dCi 130 diesel unit, Renault has added the Auto X-Tronic automatic transmission to be paired with the 1.6-litre engine. It offers emissions as low as 123g/km CO2 and economy figures up to 58.9mpg. It is also available with the Dynamique Nav trim, with a starting price of £26,015.
Another technological addition is the hands-free keycard with walkaway function that turns the car lights on and unfold the wing mirrors when you walk towards it and vice versa when you walk away.
