Roush’s 500 horsepower Ford Focus RS is every boy racer’s dream

Easily one of the best cars from this year’s 2016 SEMA show is Roush Performance’s tuned and tweaked version of the new Ford Focus RS.

Widely considered one of the best Ford tuners around, Roush took the standard RS and boosted it up to a 500 horsepower monstrosity with an aggressive aero kit thrown on for good measure.

The biggest changes under the bonnet come courtesy of a modified engine block and an ECU remap to raise power far beyond that of even rival tuners Hennessey and Mountune.

There’s also new slotted PFC brake rotors for better braking performance and an enhanced cooling system, along with three-way adjustable suspension with camber plates and blue 19-inch alloys.

Roush also added on an angry-looking front splitter and has also slightly tweaked the front end of the car, revising the front grille and fog lamps surrounds while also adding a front tow hook.

The bonnet also features twin heat extractors, aping the look of the RS500, while the finishing touches include custom side skirts, mirror caps and unique decals.

Unfortunately, Roush has yet to announce plans to sell the upgraded components to current Focus RS owners, but it’s possible that the tuner will put it on sale in the near future.
