RUF Automobile, maker of the fastest and most extreme tuned Porsches in the business, has just opened its first official outlet in the UK.
That means it’s now easier than ever for Brits to get their hands on iconic and insane cars like the 802bhp RTR and 777bhp CTR3 Clubsport, both of which are capable of 200mph-plus speeds.
Needless to say, RUF cars are as hardcore as they get and eagle-eyed Gran Turismo and Forza players might also recognise the extreme sports cars from the game franchises.
Icons meet insanity
RUF’s new UK outlet will be run in association with performance car specialists Richard and Mark Sekula and is expected to boost the tuner’s sales and also its after-care capabilities for British buyers.
The company has been tuning Porsche cars for more than 40 years and has long since cultivated a reputation for its super-fast models, expanding internationally into the US, Asia and further afield.
Estonia Ruf, RUF’s managing director, said: “Our range of cars is now the strongest it has ever been. The level of interest in the latest RUF cars has exceeded all of our expectations.”
Range of new models
At the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, the company also unveiled a variety of new models as its popularity swells, including the 964-based SCR 4.2 and the RtR Narrow, based on the modern 991.
