Seat has announced prices for its updated Ibiza supermini and Arona crossover, which benefit from design tweaks and more in the way of standard equipment.
Both cars benefit from a range of new colours, standard-fit LED lighting for the first time and a raft of updated alloy wheel designs. They also come with Seat’s new badging, which features the model’s name appearing in a handwritten styling, like on the larger Leon and Ateca models.
The specs are broadly similar across the two cars, with SE versions featuring an 8.25-inch touchscreen, metallic paint, cruise control and air conditioning, with prices starting from £16,945 for the Ibiza and £19,260 for the Arona.
Upgrading to SE Technology brings a larger 9.2-inch touchscreen with satellite navigation and Seat Connect services. This trim starts from £17,875 for the Ibiza and £20,540 for the Arona.
A sportier-looking FR trim is up next, adding full LED headlights, sports seats, a sportier bodykit and dual-zone climate control, among other features. You’ll pay £19,285 for an Ibiza in this grade and £22,570 for an Arona.
FR Sport then includes larger 18-inch alloy wheels on both cars, along with microsuede upholstery and a digital cockpit, with Ibizas in this trim level costing from £20,140 and Arona models £23,640.
After this, the models take a different approach. With the Ibiza, an Xcellence trim adds comfort suspension, rear parking sensors and keyless entry and start, while a ‘Lux’ version brings a reversing camera and adaptive cruise control. Prices start from £19,500 for the Xcellence and £20,350 for a Lux model.
Instead, the Arona takes a more rugged approach with its Xperience trim (costing from £23,290), which brings chunkier SUV styling, along with adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring. An Xperience Lux then adds park assist and a reversing camera, with a starting price of £24,795.
Both the Ibiza and Arona can only be specified with petrol engines, with a turbocharged 1.0-litre unit available on each model in outputs of either 94bhp or 108bhp. The Arona, however, is available with a more powerful 148bhp 1.5-litre unit, which comes as standard with a DSG automatic transmission.
The updated Arona and Ibiza are both available to order now, with first deliveries expected later in the year.
