Skoda adds new Crystal Face grille option to Enyaq iV

Grille incorporates more than 130 LEDs into its design

Skoda has released a striking new ‘Crystal Face’ grille as an option for its electric Enyaq iV.

Incorporating more than 130 LEDs arranged into 18 vertical strips and a horizontal band, the Crystal Face features an animated coming/leaving home function and works together with the LED headlights to create its one light display.

The Crystal Face is activated when the headlights are switched on and contribute to illuminating the road ahead.

It’s included as part of the Light and View Plus package available on all Enyaq iV 80 models. Priced at £1,675, the package not only adds the Crystal Face option but also brings full LED matrix headlights, LED rear lights, headlight washers and cornering lights.

All Enyaq iV 80 models are equipped with a 77kWh battery linked to a 150kW motor. You get a total range of 332 miles, while the 0-60mph sprint takes eight seconds. The Enyaq will also top out at 99mph flat-out.

Launched in June, the Enyaq iV is underpinned by Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform which is dedicated to electric vehicles. Not only is it found in the Enyaq, but it’s also used in the Audi Q4 e-tron and Volkswagen’s ID.4.

Prices for the Enyaq iV start from £31,995, inclusive of the Government’s plug-in car grant.
