Skoda will reveal an updated version of its Fabia hatchback at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, and the firm has released a teaser image previewing the car.

The current Fabia has remained on-sale unaltered since 2014, with the new teaser image suggesting a revised front-end on the car.

It appears the updated hatchback will feature new LED headlights, akin to those on the new Karoq crossover. It’s hard to tell from this preview if much more has changed on the car, but all will be revealed in March at Geneva.

The Skoda Fabia has been a part of the Czech manufacturer’s range since 1999, with over four million units sold globally since then.

There’s currently no word on what, if any, new engines will be added to the line-up — which currently consists of a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel unit, with all available in various states of tune.

Skoda has also neither confirmed nor denied a vRS model for the refreshed third-generation Fabia — with the performance nameplate last used on the second-generation of the hatchback.

If you’re in the market for a new Fabia and can’t wait for the updated model, the current version is on sale now with prices starting at £10,495.
