Offering exclusive equipment upgrades and design tweaks, the Challenge still comes with a 242bhp petrol engine.

The Skoda Octavia vRS is one of the most affordable performance cars around, and the Czech brand is now offering an equipment upgrade with a new special edition.

The Challenge edition comes with £4,535-worth of added equipment, but only £2,460 will be put on top of the standard vRS pricing of the hatch and estate models. Prices for the Challenge hatch version start from £30,085, while the estate offering is priced from £31,285.
