Special Range Rover Evoque celebrates 600,000 sales

Land Rover is celebrating 600,000 sales of its Range Rover Evoque and has created a special edition version of the SUV to mark the landmark achievement.

Land Rover has revealed a special edition version of its Range Rover Evoque which celebrates the 600,000th model of the SUV rolling off the production line. Called the Range Rover Evoque Landmark, this special edition car is available to order now and comes with unique design features.

Based on the five-door, hard-top Evoque with the 178bhp TD4 diesel engine, the Landmark edition is priced from £39,000 when using the standard six-speed manual gearbox or from £40,840 with the nine-speed automatic ‘box.

Unique design touches include an optional and unique Moraine Blue finish for the body shell which Land Rover says is “inspired by the turquoise lakes of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.” Alternative paint colours available include white and grey finishes.

The main colour is offset by numerous grey coloured features. The 19-inch alloy wheels are finished in gloss grey, while the grille, bonnet and tailgate lettering sport a graphite finish. The roof sports a Carpathian grey contrast finish.

Grey detailing is a theme for the interior as well as it features a centre console housed in a brushed satin frame, while the seats are trimmed in perforated, grained ebony leather with contrasting stitching.

Other standard features of the Evoque Landmark include keyless entry and a powered gesture tailgate. The options list features a ten-inch touchscreen display that adds the likes of sat-nav with real-time traffic mapping, 4G and Wi-Fi support and Smartphone app compatibility.

Much to celebrate for the Evoque

The Landmark special edition marks what has been a very successful six-year period of production for the Range Rover Evoque at the Jaguar Land Rover plant in Halewood. Since its arrival in 2011, the Evoque has not only sold 600,000 units globally but also received over 200 awards internationally.

Land Rover says that an Evoque rolls off its Halewood production line every 170 seconds, with 80 per cent of UK-built models being shipped overseas.
