Subaru will be unveiling an all-new version of its XV SUV at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show this March.
The XV is Subaru’s smallest SUV offering and, much like the brand’s utilitarian image, offers a rather boxy exterior shape. The all-new XV however looks to rectify that with a much sleeker design.
A vague, silhouetted image is the only hint Subaru has given with regards to the look of the new XV, but it is clear to see that the car’s flanks have more of a slick, chiselled look – which is slightly reminiscent of the Mazda CX-5. The taillights also appear more accentuated, with a high beltline running the length of the body and merging with the lights at the rear.
A sleeker design would be a massive boost for the XV, as its design is arguably the biggest factor that puts off buyers who opt for more stylish and premium rivals from the likes of Kia, Audi and Nissan. The XV is actually one of the most capable small SUVs on the market when it comes to off-road driving.
