Suzuki will pay your car tax for you after hikes in VED costs

Suzuki has announced that it will pay the cost of your road tax for three years if you buy one of its cars as part of a new offer to help counteract the hike in vehicle excise duty.

From April 1st this year the tax rules have changed, leaving many motorists out of pocket as the new system significantly increases VED costs for a wide range of new vehicles.

Suzuki’s new offer states that if you buy one of its cars between April 1st and the end of June this year it will give buyers a discount off the overall price of the vehicle equivalent to three years’ tax.

The offer is available for all models in the Suzuki range with the exception of the current Swift and the upcoming next-gen Swift which will be launched at the start of June.

As an example, Suzuki says that a new Celerio SZ3 Dualjet, will cost £100 for the first year and then £140 per year from then onwards under the new tax regulations.

That represents an overall saving of £380 to the customer if they take Suzuki’s new offer, which they can then use to pay their tax in the normal way.
