Tesla is reported to be taking an average of 1,800 Model 3 reservations per day since the car’s grand unveiling last Friday.

The event saw Elon Musk present 30 examples of the Model 3 to new owners who had pre-ordered the vehicle including employees, current Tesla owners and even himself.

Since then, the technological giant has seen a mass of Model 3 orders flood in – especially with the recent US government incentive programmes seen in California.

Original pre-order shipments will consist of the long-range battery models, however an additional upgrade package is available optionally.

Entry-level Model 3s are set to be shipped in November, however this will be exclusive to the US. Buyers outside of the States will have to wait until “late 2018” before they receive their order, with 2019 the date set for right-hand drive models.
