Since its announcement back in 2016, The Grand Tour has always drawn the attention of petrolheads around the world with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May at the helm.
The Amazon Prime show is entering its third series, following on from the positively-received second season and will likely come with the same hijinks as in the first two sets of episodes.
But what do we know about the upcoming season 3, and what is likely to happen? We take a look..
When will it be televised?
A date hasn’t officially been confirmed for when the first episode will be aired, but if the first two series are anything to go by, episode 1 is likely to be available to stream around the end of November or start of December.
Filming has been underway for some time, with Jeremy Clarkson revealing that in a tweet back in March.

What will Clarkson, Hammond and May get up to?
The Grand Tour’s Twitter page has been giving hints as to what will be included in the third season, with one post depicting Clarkson dressed as a traffic warden as well as various posts of the team in China and Mongolia. As usual, what will be happening in these locations has been kept secret, so we won’t really know what the trio have been up to until the programme has aired.

How many episodes will there be?
When The Grand Tour was announced back in 2016, the contract stated that 36 episodes would be commissioned over the three initial series. Season 1 had 13 episodes and Season 2 had 11, so if our maths is correct that leaves 12 shows for the third series. Each episode will be released on 12 consecutive Fridays and will be available to stream on Amazon Prime.

After every new episode in season 3, new challenges, races and locations will become available to gamers – with exclusive content from the show also being shared. Iconic shows from the first two series will also be included, such as the iconic ‘Holy Trinity’ test from the programme’s first episode that pitted the McLaren P1, Porsche 918 and Ferrari LaFerrari against each other.
It will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 when the show comes to air.
