Are you a Tinder user looking for the one, but finding that no matter how hard you swipe right you’re just not having any luck with your matches? Ford has the answer: buy a muscle car.
We’ve previously pointed out the correlations between the type of car you drive and how likely you are to have a successful love life, but Ford reckons the real key to unlocking your true stud potential is its 415bhp American stallion.
Jim Farley, Ford’s executive vice president and president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said: “It’s got to be a good start to show up for a date in a Ford Mustang. It’s an iconic car with a built‑in ability to turn heads.”
To prove this, Ford set the Mustang up with a Tinder profile of its very own and invited users to swipe right to be in with the chance of winning a blind date with the V8-powered ‘Stang.
Five pairs of people were picked at random for the dates and hit the roads in London, with the trip in the Mustang eventually culminating in a 50s-style drive-in movie.
Did it work? Well, four of the five couples apparently made it to a second date, so all things considered that doesn’t seem like such a bad track record. Why not check out the video to see how they got on below?
