This crazy one-off Koenigsegg has 1,341bhp and gold decoration

A unique version of the Koenigsegg Agera, boasting a 1,341bhp engine and gold leaf accents, will be displayed at next week’s Geneva Motor Show.

The hypercar, which has the full name Koenigsegg Agera RS Gryphon, was specially produced for an unnamed customer.

It is based on the Agera RS which regular customers (with a lot of money of course) can buy, and includes Koenigsegg’s optional one-megawatt engine – a 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 with 1,341bhp in total.

The Gryphon weighs the same as other Agera RS models, at 1,395kg, and has the same 1:1 power-to-weight ratio the hypercar is famous for. The 0-62mph sprint takes less than three seconds.

What sets the Gryphon apart from other Koenigsegg Agera RS models is its styling. There are unique accents, stripes and badges dotted around the car which are made out of 24-carat gold and are contrasted by exposed carbon fibre detailing.

The cabin is surrounded black Alcantara, polished carbon fibre and black anodised aluminium. There’s also gold piping around the seats and gold-coloured Gryphon badging inside too.

The customer of this one-off Agera RS also has a matching carbon fibre race helmet covered with hand-crafted gold leaf decoration.

Considering that Koenigsegg ended production of the standard Agera RS last year, this Gryphon model could be the last ever example of the hypercar that will be built.

While the Agera RS Gryphon will likely never be for sale, members of the public will have a chance to get up close to it in the metal during the 2017 Geneva Motor Show which starts next week.
