This Is The New Lamborghini Aventador S

Feast your eyes on the 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S. Lamborghini has revealed these images along with details of performance and styling upgrades and a new four-wheel steering system aimed at providing a superior drive to its predecessor.

“This is the next generation Aventador as well as the expression of new technological and performance milestones in super sports car development,” says Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Stefano Domenicali. “The Aventador S is visionary design, cutting-edge technology and driving dynamics in pure harmony, and elevates the concept of super sports cars to a new level.”

According to Lamborghini, a more aggressive nose and longer front splitter redirect airflow for better aerodynamic efficiency, improved engine cooling and increased cooling to the radiators.

The cockpit of the Aventador S brings new functionality and refinement, with a new TFT digital dashboard and Apple CarPlay as standard.

The vertical fins on the rear of the Aventador S amplify the airflow effects, reduce drag through pressure recovery and generate downforce. The active rear wing is movable depending on speed and driving mode selected. EGO is the new driving mode option which allows the driver access to several additional, customisable and individual set-up profiles.

And here comes the important bit: 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph. At 740bhp, the Lamborghini Aventador S’s naturally-aspirated twelve-cylinder, 6.5 litre engine outputs an additional 40 hp over its predecessor. The price for all these upgrades? Just £225,955. But you'll have to wait until Spring 2017 to get your hands on one.
