Volvo V60 Cross Country revealed

After the V90 received the off-road treatment back in 2016, the mid-size estate now gets a higher ride height and additional design features.

Volvo has revealed a new version of the V60 that is suited to going off the beaten track and comes with more rugged styling.

This is the V60 Cross Country, which joins the V90 alternative in the Swedish brand’s line-up, and includes additional plastic cladding as well as a higher ride.

Coming with a specially-developed chassis and suspension setup, the V60 Cross Country rides 75mm higher than the standard estate model and ensures that it works off-road with the help of all-wheel drive.

Each model also comes with a special off-road mode, as well as hill descent control, electronic stability control and corner traction control.

Håkan Samuelsson, Volvo Cars president and chief executive, said: "With the new V60 Cross Country, we take our Swedish family estate from one natural habitat to another.
